Knotty Pine at the Burton US Open

Knotty Pine was invited to beautiful Vail, Colorado for the Burton US Open.  Our mission was to provide durable large format graphics that would not end up in a landfill.

Banners, Banners & Banners

Banners, Banners & Banners

Large events present many challenges.  Sourcing materials that have the ability to be recycled or reused is one of them.  We worked with durable fabrics that were printed with water based inks.

The Scope

The Scope

About 300 banners & 500 rigid coroplast signs were used.  We were responsible for producing only the fabrics BUT we took in information on ALL the materials used at the event with the goal of recycling / reusing as much as we could.

Bone Yard

Bone Yard

Hours in the bone yard sorting, removing grommets & palletizing, we were able to place the materials into categories.  Vinyl was sent to be made into bags / accessories  , mesh donated as netting / shade for flower beds, textile sold to fiber market, and the rigid coroplast was used in the concrete industry for shaping counter tops. Our first year, we were able to divert 7 pallets from the the landfill totaling roughly 2500 lbs.
